How to enable Steam mobile authenticator

There are a lot of users who are victims of trade scamming and phishing. Steam made an action on this issue and implemented the new system which protect the users from trade scams and phishing attempts. The system requires users to enable the mobile authenticator came from steam apps on Android and iOS devices.

Many users are affected by the new implemented system, especially online bettors which hinder them to Bet directly as they need to activate the mobile guard and wait for 7 days. Some didn't know about the update and wondered why they can't bet on dota2lounge, vpgame, dota2bestyolo and other betting sites. Today I will be sharing you how to bet again and leave no problem on trading items and accessories.

I made a YouTube tutorial video for those who don't get it or doesn't comprehend the message that I want to deliver.

Before anything else you must have the following:
  • Android or iOS Handsets
  • Email confirmations enabled
  • Mobile number added to your steam account
Without further a do lets begin.

For Users with mobile number added on their accounts

  1.  Install steam app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store if you don't yet the app.
  2. Under "Steam guard" tab change the settings from "Get Steam Guard codes by email" to "Get Steam Guard codes on my phone"
  3.  Done.

For users with no mobile number attached on your steam account

How to look for steam account details

  1. Login to Steam via mobile app or web browser
  2. Look for your account name which is located top right corner
  3. Select "account details" from the drop down menu by clicking your account name
  4. From the "Contact Info" tab and click on "Add a phone number"
